Hello friends, family, and anyone else who happened upon my blog. I have been wanting for a long, long time to start a blog. I actually have blog envy about other blogs. However, I put it off because I didn't think my life was interesting enough for people to want to read. I thought, well once I'm engaged or once I'm married I will have exciting enough stories to blog about.
Well, those of you who know me well know that I am not one to be patient. I decided I would go ahead and start my blog and only post when I feel like it is interesting info. So, here I am and here is a quick update on my life......
I went to the University of Arkansas and got my marketing degree. While in school, I met my boyfriend, Blane. We have been dating for over 3 years and are very happy. I know what you are thinking, "Are you going to get married?" I promise we get that question a lot. The only answer I can offer you is not yet. To further answer this question you will have to read on and realize what I am doing with my life now. Anyway, I graduated and landed a great gig as a Marketing Director for Chick-fil-A. I was still in Fayetteville and worked mostly from home. It was without a doubt the very best first job I could have hoped for. After about a year and a half, I felt I had stayed my welcome and decided to get my MBA. After a long, long process I chose the Cox School of Business at SMU in Dallas. I am very please and can't wait to get started in August. It is a 2 year program and is incredibly intense but offers amazing opportunities. So, in June I moved to Dallas!!! It's crazy. I still can't believe that I live in Texas. It ended up working out perfectly. Blane graduated in December (he is a year younger) and by the grace of God the very first job he interviewed for he got offered. It also happened to be 25 miles from Dallas. So, we both live here and we're happy as clams. People who are not happy as clams about the big move: Meghan and Mom. As you can imagine, they weren't thrilled about me moving further from them, but they are dealing with it quite nicely. I do miss my beautiful niece, Darby, and I'm afraid she will forget me. But all in all, it is a wonderful move and I'm happy to be here.
So, that is a very short and non-detailed summary of my life the last 5 years. Now that you are caught up, my next post can be about current events. I can't wait.....until then
